IL26-001 (also known as I-001) would weaken Washington State laws about parents’ rights, student privacy and records at school. It puts kids at greater risk of abuse, mental health issues, and even homelessness by forcing school counselors and teachers to knowingly put kids in danger. Allows parents under criminal investigation or charged with raping, assaulting, or otherwise harming their child, to access sensitive information, discouraging kids from seeking help from trusted school counselors. ➜ Learn more

IL26-6368 (also known as I-638) would require tens of thousands of elementary, middle and high school girls to undergo intrusive, potentially harmful medical sex inspections every year as a new part of sports physicals. It takes decision-making power away from parents, schools and athletic associations with a statewide ban excluding trans girls from participating on any teams at any level. It’s the most extreme MAGA measure of its kind in the country and discriminates against girls. ➜ Learn more
