Appreciation & Gratitude—HB 1310

January 31, 2025 SCPTSA Communications

We heard some really great testimony yesterday on HB 1310—an OSPI request bill that addresses the three levers of special education funding (the cap, the multiplier, and safety net) and supports inclusion.

A huge thanks to Representative Pollet for sponsoring this bill and for his continuous support for Washington students. And thank you to everyone who testified, with special thanks to our members and partners.

  • Samantha Fogg, SCPTSA Co-President

  • Ayan Elmi, Washington Multicultural Services link and former SCPTSA board member

  • Julianna Dauble, President Renton EA

  • Jen Chong Jewell, Parent (and special thanks to her wonderful student)

  • Superintendent Jones

  • Superintendent Panel (Superintendent Pedroza, Superintendent Aramaki, Superintendent Vela, Rob Bryant CFO)
