April 1st SCPTSA President Update

Good afternoon,
I want to start with a reminder to all our PTAs to make sure a representative from your school attends our Town Hall Zoom Meeting tomorrow, April 2nd from 6-7pm. Invitations have been sent to all PTA leaders.
We have heard from the Boys and Girls Club of King County they have 12 sites (five running in partnership with SPS) with openings for free of charge childcare for essential worker kids and kids experiencing homelessness or in foster care ( there is a $50 one time membership fee and there are scholarships available). All the sites are across the city ready to serve Seattle Public Schools students, from kindergarten to age 12. If you have a child 3-4 years old and they have an older sibling enrolled, Boys and Girls Club has obtained a waiver from DCYF to be able to accept them.
