Seattle Council PTSA is hosting a Reflections in the Community event for PTAs that might not have a Reflections Chair. This is an opportunity for studetns looking for something to do during Parent/Teacher Conference Week. 

  • We can help upload video, music and photo submissions (we cannot create on site) 

  • Create a space to write or make a visual art piece

  • La PTSA del Consejo de Seattle está organizando un evento de REFLECTIONS en la comunidad para las PTA que quizás no tengan el representante en su escuela de REFLECTIONS. Esta es una oportunidad para los estudiantes que buscan algo que hacer durante la Semana de Conferencias de Familias y Maestros.  

    • Podemos ayudar a cargar envíos de videos, música y fotografías (no podemos crear en el sitio)  

    • Crea un espacio para escribir o hacer una obra de arte visual.  

    • Proporcionaremos refrigerios y materiales para dibujar.  

    Oportunidades de voluntariado  

    Necesitamos voluntarios para ayudar a los estudiantes a escribir su declaración de artista.

    活動內容：今年華盛頓州的PTA Art Contest主題是Accepting Imperfection。西雅圖市議會家長教師學生協會(SCPTSA)考慮到有些學校的家長教師學生協會(PTSA)沒有主要的負責人，或是學生在家沒有足夠的資源指導他們上傳比賽作品，或是需要協助填寫參賽表格等等。SCPTSA將在家長/教師會議週(11/24-11/27)主辦此社區活動，對於在學校假期期間尋找免費活動的家長們來說，這是一個好機會。歡迎闔家大小一起來參加！


    在活動現場我們會提供免費的點心與繪畫藝術用品，我們也會：

    • 幫忙上傳影片, 音樂, 相片：這些類別沒有辦法當場製作，請學生在家創作好帶來，我們可以幫忙填寫表格與上傳。

  • Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students pre-K through grade 12

    • explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas 

    • develop artistic literacy by describing how their art relates to a theme

    • increase confidence 

    • find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life 

    Students create original works of art in response to a theme. The theme for 2024–25 is “Accepting Imperfection.”  Entries are judged on creative ability and interpretation of the theme. 

    SCPTSA will be accepting entries in all categories—Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video, and Choreography/Dance. Your school can choose to only accept works from certain categories. Each school can submit up to 12 entries, plus 6 accessible artist entries. 

  • First Step: Register with National PTA
    Second Step: Register with Seattle Council PTSA

  • Share this opportunity with your school community by distributing flyers, hanging posters, sharing in school newsletters, and posting on social media. See attached graphics and templates. Be sure to update these files with your school contact info and deadlines.

  • Schools can distribute PDF or paper forms. Please fill out your PTA's information on the form before distributing to your school community.  Or use this digital google form.
