Volunteers for Food Distribution

SPS Families Need Your Help!

The City of Seattle is supporting families and children by distributing lunch and a shelf stable breakfast to students during the teacher’s strike.  We need your assistance in handing out pre-packaged meals at one of 38 locations in communities all over the City of Seattle.

  • Volunteers are needed starting on Monday, September 12 through Friday September 16.

  • Hours will be from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm,

  • Duties will be passing out prepackaged, grab-and-go meals to school-aged children and tracking how many are handed out.

  • Distribution locations will have a tent, table, and chairs (provided by Seattle Parks and Recreation. Meals are being provided by Seattle Public Schools.

 

If you’re interested in volunteering to distribute meals, please submit your information as soon as possible. We start serving meals on Monday, September 12th!

In the event a tentative settlement is reached we will contact you by phone voice, text, and email that you provide when you register to let you know that shifts have been canceled.
